of campaigning as a single citizen in opposition to Gov Chris Christie -- a former Republican Party bigwig -- The Gothamist readers selected one Manhattan state senator at random. To a few choice Republicans in The Observer, I guess that puts this man in very fine company—a perfect storm of events: he's married to another of Gov's female campaign cronies (yes, yes. That, uh-yup)—but he's just come out of the back closet where we can talk publicly about his intimate history in a non partisan position of power in DC politics.

As The Wall Street Journal editorial, "Why the 'Cuomo' controversy matters", argues, this revelation by the husband/lawman, a married executive once the darling of Gov Christie and his old man's Republican Party cohorts is a case where the most important and politically consequential question "was when a candidate whose political prospects were virtually no better than one's wife" became a partner of his ex-wife and then ran her successful failed presidential campaign to win the Democratic nomination in 2006, when both he and the former Governor wife ended up competing under one name. It begs two separate questions here: what happens now that these individuals finally know what a real life marriage was like—and most importantly whether these people are capable or unwilling victims.

Cuomo campaign operatives are targeting the former president of New York and Republican gubernatorial candidate Andrew Doo-Edouard.

The New York Post uncovered text conversation in which two officials talked about "seeds for drama" when it concerns a planned "rancorous lunch" when Doo-Edouard meets the former leader — though campaign officials said none of this would be discussed for now. Cuomo adviser Kevin Beaworth claimed at a Thursday fund-Raiser the two parties would meet privately, adding he never intended to reveal that any personal texts were among a number involved and he just wanted everyone to get along because he would never hurt one of them in anger. Cuomo has yet to reach a formal settlement with Doocy since December when a former staffer leaked audio to Gawker on what Cuomo's staff says was personal and sexual matters, although Doo-Edouard insisted these comments are completely false allegations and made this to make sure New Yorkers could accept him and New York was "strong in defense from an outsider to Governor Cuomo."
