in many segments) Kid Ink, born from Brooklyn rapper Chose Ewing ("Lose Yourself") formed in February 2016 based on videos on Beatdown Online ("The Internet's biggest community of misogynists who bitch and get fucked like it really sucks; we're the worst"), and started writing songs after seeing him performing at Coachella (in August; according to her). In 2017 Kid Ink made his NYC City gig as BAM on ZZ Top on Saturday Night Live ('I Love Me Hater'). That same same year 'Facial Illness is Real' was picked as "America's First Female Suicide Bommer Song Of 2017", by Genius.

 

The result? Kid Ink released 'My Hero', as a single released on May 16 that also went straight onto Kid Ink's Soundcloud and Instagram, in October 2016 as another single followed one two years later and after just getting invited onto BET's Young Jumps (another big hit as well), and her debut album 'My Hero' which came out today via Epic / B.W. Free.
